Privacy

What we collect

• Your account: name, phone number, optional email, and a password we store only as a hash.
• Your profile and listings: whatever you choose to write and the photos you upload.
• Activity: messages you send, applications, requests, saved listings, reviews, and counts of things like listing views. View counts and taps are counted, not tied to who you are.
• Technical: a session cookie so you stay signed in, and a hashed form of your IP address used only to limit sign-in attempts.

What is public

Your profile name, your listings, your reviews and your verification badges. Your phone number is shown only where you have chosen to show it (for example, a WhatsApp button on a listing you opted into). Street addresses are never shown unless you tick the box. Identity documents are never shown to anyone but Ginger Tec staff reviewing them, and are stored privately.

Cookies

Two: the session cookie, and a small readable cookie holding your first name so the header can greet you without a round trip. No advertising or tracking cookies. See cookies.

Who else sees your data

Our hosting and database providers (Vercel and Supabase, servers in Frankfurt) process it on our behalf. We do not sell it, and we do not send marketing you did not ask for.

Your rights

Ask what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account. Deletion removes your profile and listings; records of completed transactions and reports may be kept in anonymised form. Write to us via the contact page from the phone number on the account.
